The Results Are In...

The results to my poll: Which of these actors was the most annoying?

Coming in as the least most annoying was Jimmy Stewart with one vote (his not making it farther is a tragedy. I mean he could have at least surpassed Cornel Wilde?).

In fourth place is Cornel Wilde with two votes.

Tied for third/second are the intensely annoying Katherine Hepburn and Randolph Scott (Question is there anybody who likes this guy? I've never met one!) each with three votes.

^If this picture does NOT show to you how annoying he is, I don't know what will. BTW, is it just me or does he seem to have a pair of Klingon eyebrows? Hehehe, I'm SO mean!

And the winner...the most annoying of the most annoying is:

Perky (a little TOO perky) June Allyson with 6 votes!

I'm afraid that any poll like this that omits Danny Kaye is just not up to the level it should be! ;)

You're too funny, Millie! :D

Hahaha, yeah! Although, I rather like Danny Kaye (in the right setting of course). White Christmas is far too adored by me, to be messed up by a little thing like Danny Kaye.

And, I do like "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". But that's about it.

Randolph Scott should have won by a landslide! Although I can see why so many people voted for June Allyson. If you had split this up into most annoying actor, and most annoying actress, June & Randolph would have both gotten my votes!

ps. White Christmas & Walter Mitty are the only Danny Kaye movies I like too!

I can't beleive that Jimmy Stewart is on there! I agree about all the others but quite honestly I think Jimmy was rather brilliant. What movies have you seen that have soured your attitude to him?

Millie said...

Kate: I know! RS should have!

Hahaha, I love the daydreams...in Mitty!

Anonymous: Um, well, there is just something about Jimmy.

ROFL!!! I love your polls! You know, as I was scrolling down, I looked at the Randolph Scott pic before I read your comments on it right below, and my first thought on seeing the picture was, "wow! She picked a really cute and happy picture of him!" (Particularly after that pic of Cornel Wilde -- *boggles* at the bad hair.) Then I read your caption under the RS picture and busted up. :-D Isn't this a wonderful world? Two people can look at the same pic and see completely different things!

Hana-bi: I'm sorry. I tried to break it to you as gently as possible...;-D

DKoren: I found one! Someone who likes Randolph Scott. I'd like to shake your hand. It takes a lot of courage to like someone like him. Yes, I agree about Cornel. The hair always creeps me out.

Tom: Well, I'm sorry.

Aww, I love Katharine Hepburn! But I admit, she's an acquired taste. :)

I don't care what your snooty poll says ma'am. June Allyson is adorable. :P ;)

Millie said...

Andrea: Yup, I think I would have to agree with you on that.

Krista: I can definitely see why some people could see her that way.....;-D

As a boy I used to adore June Allyson. Sure, she was cute and perky but she also radiated genuine niceness and that's why I liked her so much. She and Cornel Wilde played a charming married couple in one of my favorites back then, "Women's World".

In that same movie, Arlene Dahl played the ultra-sophisticated femme fatale. Now, there's an actress I always considered annoying with her too-lacquered looks and her faux superior voice and demeanor.

I just found this post and I have to say, I'm so glad that Katherine H. is on here! I've seen many films that she has been in and have thoroughly enjoyed them, but really just don't like her.

As for Jimmy S., I find him truly endearing. He seems like he was such a genuine, down-to-earth guy. Did you know that unlike many actors in his day, he supposedly stayed faithful to his wife through their entire marriage? And he's a cutie if I do say so myself...
