I was just thinking about it. On most people's blogs, a post with the single purpose of displaying photos of an (unfairly) obscure '60s actor and his dog would be tagged with "off-topic" or "random."
Not here.
On-topic doesn't exist.
I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE TOPIC IS.
Anyway, here's Gardner McKay and his awesome dog, Pussycat.

His dog's name was pussycat???? GENIUS.
Pussycat is quite a daredevil! I love seeing all the wonderful scenery. These are brilliant!
Do pop over and visit me at my blog sometime soon...

Kate: Yes. IS THAT NOT BRILLIANCE?!
Fabiana: I know! And the dog is totally chill and just knows it's the coolest dog to ever exist. haha
I definitely will check out your blog! Thanks for the comment! :-D
Calling your dog 'Pussycat' is almost as cool as calling your dog 'Dog'. ;-P
ohmygosh, such cute pictures! i love the one where pussycat is climbing the ladder :)
my cat is named scooby doo. the first time i took her (yes, HER) to our new vet, the receptionist was confused, because when i made the appointment over the phone she assumed scooby doo would be a male dog.
silly receptionist!
Definitively best dog name ever.. My sister called her tarantula Sparky.. but Pussycat is a real cool name.
Thank you for posting this - and: On-topic is overrated.. ;")
lol! Pussycat is awesome! The ladder climbing and car riding skills are beyond impressive!
Love
I had the great pleasure of meeting Gardner McKay in Hollywood (Schwab's Drug Store) in 1961. His large shaggy dog (to whom he referred as "Cat") was patiently waiting outside the shop. I was a huge fan of his and loved his TV show "Adventures in Paradise."
GM was very kind, friendly and down-to-earth. He admired the "Tiki God" necklace I was wearing, even picking it up and holding it in his hand for a few moments. That was over 50 years ago.
Rest in peace, Gardner McKay, and thank you for the nice memories of treating this fan with such kindness and appreciation.
